Mercy Bead Project
Recycled Paper Jewelry

Each necklace and bracelet is carefully hand rolled.  Used newspaper is placed upon a cutting board where a disabled man cuts the paper into thousands of strips.  The strips are then hand dipped and dyed with many different colors and variations of colors, then wound around and around until they are thick enough to form a single bead.  The beads are then collected and strand together to form these amazing peices of jewelry.  This process requires much skill, time, and concentration.
